Solid Waste

The Chambers County Solid Waste Department serves both citizens and businesses across the county by offering various waste disposal options. 

Chambers County operates eight citizens' collection stations designed for residents to dispose of their household trash. To access these sites, residents must purchase a disposal permit sticker, which is not applicable to commercial trash. Businesses and contractors are not allowed to use a residential sticker for dumping at these collection sites.

In addition to the collection stations, Chambers County also manages a Type I and Type IV municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill that is open to the public, including businesses and contractors. The tipping fee for using the landfill is charged at a rate of $0.025 per pound of waste.

Residents who possess a disposal permit sticker can also utilize the landfill for larger trash loads, provided that the trash originates from their personal residence, and they transport the trash to the landfill themselves. There is no charge for residents with a disposal permit sticker. However, all dump trailers are subject to the gate rate charge, regardless of where the trash is generated.

Collection Station Information

• Collection Stations are for residential trash only.
• No commercial trash is accepted. Commercial haulers may use the County landfill.
• Current solid waste permit sticker must be displayed upon entering the facility. 
• Sticker must be affixed to vehicle bearing license tag to which it was issued.
• Waste must be discarded in designated containers.
• Trailers 10 ft. or less accepted once per day.
